Description
The Miró Foundation was created by the artist himself with an initial fund consisting mainly of his private collection, with the aim of establishing in Barcelona a Miró space of international reference, promoting research and studies on Miró and contemporary art. The variety of spaces allows visitors to venture into an interdisciplinary exploration of the personal language and production of one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. The museum's collection of paintings, drawings, sculptures and works on paper reflect the different episodes of his career.
