Tickets for the Aquarium of Barcelona
Description
The Barcelona Aquarium is the most important recreational and educational marine centre in the world on the theme of the Mediterranean. A set of 65 tanks, 11,000 specimens of 450 different species, an 80-metre underwater tunnel, six million litres of water and an immense Oceanarium make this centre a unique spectacle and a point of reference for leisure that has already been visited by millions of people. Inside the Aquarium there are different spaces: Mediterranean aquariums (14 aquariums to discover the Mediterranean Sea), tropical aquariums (7 aquariums with exotic species, colourful fish and coral reefs), the Oceanarium (the largest space, with an 80-metre glass tunnel that allows privileged views of the sharks), themed aquariums that allow you to enjoy the small details of the marine flora and fauna that would go completely unnoticed in the large aquariums. There are also two recreations of protected areas of the Spanish coastline: the Ebro Delta and the Medes Islands. Inaugurated on 8 September 1995, the Barcelona Aquarium has used the most advanced technology to reproduce, as faithfully as possible, the different environments it presents.
