Discover Catalan Modernisme, the Sagrada Família and other works by Gaudí on a Segway tour of Barcelona's Eixample and Vila de Gràcia districts.

This Segway tour of Modernisme and the works of architect Antoni Gaudí will take you on a journey through Barcelona's modern history crossing two of the city's central districts - the Eixample and Vila de Gràcia. Starting from the famous Arc de Triomf, this itinerary introduces many of Barcelona's main attractions. Highlights include the famous architecture created by Gaudí: the Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló and Casa Milà (La Pedrera) on Passeig de Gràcia, one of Barcelona's most famous boulevards. We'll also see other lesser-known Modernista icons, designed by great architects of the time such as Josep Puig i Cadafalch and Lluís Domènech i Montaner, such as the Hotel Casa Fuster, the Casa de les Punxes on the Diagonal or the Casa Amattler, a luxurious property in the Eixample commissioned by a chocolate magnate in 1898. In addition to the Eixample neighbourhood, this tour also takes you on a quick getaway to the charming neighbourhood of Gracia. Originally the neighbourhood was not connected to the old town of Barcelona. The Vila de Gracia was founded in the 17th century and was an independent municipality of Barcelona until its formal annexation to the city in 1897. Gràcia is one of Barcelona's most picturesque neighbourhoods and is home to the city's young bohemian scene. Its reputation comes from a local infrastructure full of low-rise buildings and small alleyways lined with local shops, restaurants and art studios.
