E-bike route with a visit to vineyards from Barcelona
Description
One of the oldest wine regions in Spain, DO Alella, a family winery where we will taste their organic Mediterranean wines. Vineyards cultivated for more than 25 years, now grown with organic and modern techniques. But it has not always been like this, as Alella wines have a long history and an important relevance in Catalan wine. Known and loved in Roman times, Pliny and Martial mention them as Laietan wines. In the Middle Ages, they were the favourite wines in the Seu de Barcelona, to later become one of the most exported quality wines from Catalonia to the whole world.
