Description
Visit one of the most unique places in Greece and have a breathtaking experience exploring the majestic monasteries built atop the rocks of Meteora and enjoying the most memorable panoramic views. As one of the most visited destinations in Greece, this true wonder is filled with majestic architecture and ancient rock formations. We will ride through the natural landscape accompanied by a local guide, passionate and knowledgeable about the stories and legends surrounding this unforgettable place.
What we are going to do?
Full day guided tour through the fabulous scenery of Meteora. The experience begins by taking the train early in the morning from the nearest town to our accommodation. After the scenic train ride through the beautiful Greek countryside, we will arrive in Kalampaka at 11:30 where we will meet our guide. We will board a comfortable luxury minibus to start an unforgettable excursion in Meteora. The experience will give us the opportunity to discover the 6 monasteries and admire the interior of 3 of them. At 16h the bus will transfer us back to the town of Kalampaka where we will enjoy an hour of free time to explore the town centre, visit one of the many cafes or restaurants and relax watching and taking pictures of Meteora. The return train departs at 17:15h.

Important
Entrance fees to the monasteries are not included in the price of the experience (approximately €3 per person which can be paid during the visit) and neither is the train ticket from Athens or other towns. The monasteries of Meteora impose a strict dress code. Men must wear long trousers and women must wear long skirts and cover their shoulders (skirts are provided at the entrance of each monastery).
Cancellation policy
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before the activity starts. If you cancel under this time or do not show up, you will not be refunded.
