Description

We present the most complete experience of your trip to Amsterdam. A day trip around the countryside north of the city where you will discover the most authentic and rural Holland. The excursion will take us to the banks of the river Zaan, where we will visit the villages of the Zaanse-Schans, characterised by traditional wooden houses and windmills. At the beginning of the 18th century, this district was an industrial area with approximately 700 windmills in operation, however, only five remain today. We will also visit the village of Marken, situated on the banks of the old Zuiderzee, Volendam and much more.

What we are going to do?

A complete tour in which you will discover the most rural Holland through a full selection of visits and activities. Our first stops will be the villages of Zaanse-Schans and Marken, where we will relax on board a scenic lake cruise. The tour continues to Edam where we will enjoy a short guided walking tour and a visit to a cheese factory. We will head towards Volendam through beautiful scenery and complete our experience with 4 interesting activities: a demonstration with an old steam engine in operation, a tasting of waffles in syrup (typical Dutch sweet), a visit to one of the windmills and a traditional clog making workshop.
