Snorkelling in Tabarca Island, Alicante
Description
Tabarca is the only inhabited island in the Comunitat Valenciana and is located in front of the city of Alicante, eleven nautical miles away and close to the cape of Santa Pola. In reality, rather than an island, it is a small archipelago, made up, in addition to Tabarca, of the islets La Cantera, La Galera and La Nao. It is also an authentic marine paradise (recognised in 1986 as the country's first marine reserve) with crystal clear waters and spectacular fauna and flora, which we can discover with this type of diving, which only requires a pair of diving goggles, a snorkel and flippers. We will be able to observe the seabed of the Reserve, as well as take a walk around the island of Tabarca and discover the different parts of this paradise that is so close to us and yet so little is known about it. Snorkelling allows you to keep your head under water and breathe through the snorkel for long periods of time without losing track of the fish around you.
